Truth is a fact of reality or belief that can usually be denied Who says it is? Well, we actually don’t know because the internet says it is a fact, but who ever wrote that does know. We will see only when we die. Otherwise I believe.me God is the truth. How do we know? We honestly don’t know anything , we get the sense of right or wrong but the truth is to complex for the human mind, to be honest. That’s why I believe we need a savior.

4/13/2018 0 Comments April 13th, 2018Rainbow life with a bear hug By:Carlie Fuller My pieces concept is not losing your inner child through life when you grow up. I used three mediums, styrofoam as the form, plaster to cover it and I used acrylic paint to paint it rainbow. The technique I challenged myself with layering the plaster on top of the styrofoam. It was extremely hard to do this on the foam because it would fall off or the texture would not be smooth. I choose this subject because most of the adults I know lose their inner child as they grow up and get jobs. My parents have never lost their imagination or positive mindset. When I think of my childhood, I think of rainbows and teddy bears because I always loved bright colors and hugs from my family, I love feeling loved. So I want other to feel the love. My piece is going on a bench at Apex park because at the park you can think of deep things. There will be a box of rocks in front of the bear saying “free hugs” so they can hug it. I loved doing this project because it was a challenge and it has a loving meaning behind it. 3/28/2018 0 Comments March 28th, 2018My piece so far is a stroyfoam bear which reflects on the concept of not losing your inner child. I cut out small-large circles to make the tummy and the arm and the legs. I did the same with the head and then flied it to make it cleaner. I glued the circles together and also used toothpicks , I plan to plaster it and paint it rainbow!!!
3/28/2018 0 Comments March 28th, 2018I made a bear out of baking clay to replicate my final project. I’m making a bear out of styrofoam and painting rainbow ,to describe “not loosing your inner child”. I made the clay bear by making the tummy frost and then the head, soon after I made the legs and arms come out from body. Then I made wings but I plan not to have those because it would be too hard to make the wings out of styrofoam.
3/22/2018 0 Comments March 22nd, 2018I made an egg for practice and colored it rainbow to practice for my bear. The egg is made out of styrofoam and then a put plaster all over the egg and painted it rainbow. The whole represents the child personality is fade away and soon with die if you don’t keep and child like mind 3/22/2018 0 Comments March 22nd, 2018Over the three days of this week we made mental trinkets . I decided to make earrings with the colors of blue and white and black on the back. We cut the mental into the shape we want and made it curved and filed it. We burn the black color first then wash it and the burn the color you want on the ground last and let it cool. The colors are power and it turns into glass when your burn it. I love doing this, the flame freaked me out a little but I liked making jewelry for the summer. I hope to do this again in Art4 3/19/2018 0 Comments Art critique paper Vermeer’s “the girl with a pearl earring”
The artist chose was Johannes Vermeer and his piece is “The Girl with The Pearl Earring”. Vermeer usually chooses young women to draw and this piece is also known as the Mona lisa of the North. When he first started he painted biblical and mythology paintings, but as time went on he painted daily life and his 36 paintings are one of the most treasured in the worlds for the 17th century. Most of his pieces were peaceful with calming color tones. Vermeer used oil paint for most of his paintings. He sometimes painted people doing chores, but sometimes painting peaceful women. The girl with a pearl earring became one of the most well known piece in the 21st century. The first thing I see is the shape/realistic lines and her giant pearl earrings because they stand out. The look on her face seems like a model with drama. The colors are yellow tones, blue tones, whites and black for the background. The edges of the painting are sharp and clean because it is a portrait of a real life women. The lines are very tight and confident. The texture look like leather for the clothes and scarf like material for the headdress, and her skin looks very smooth and soft. Overall the look of the painting seems like a woman who is rich but not completely satisfied with her life. The mood seem drowsy, but mysterious. Veneer used the colors for the mood and meaning behind the painting, kind of her description. The colors aren’t extravagant but they still are rich calming colors. He used the shape of the piece( body and frame) to make the viewer get a precise look on what the women looks like and how her mood is portrayed through her shape and facial expressions. The lines in the piece are very sharp but smooth and make it have a realistic feel to the painting. The artist used the texture of the clothing to make the piece stand out and seem calm at the same time. He gave the viewer an illusion of making the piece come the life. The artist really uses light within this piece because the background is black which make the colors pop off a lot more, but the women seems like she is in the spotlight a little based on the shadows of her cheeks and her body shadow overall. The mood is definitely portrayed based on the shadows, colors and facial expressions. It brings the woman's emotion throughout the painting. He used thin brush strokes and texture to really give the realistic look and emotion feel. I think he took his time to make the entire piece glow with beauty and emotion. He claimed that the pearl earring is the focal point. The artist is very mysterious and not many people know the meaning behind the painting or who the women is. I think that the painting was a young woman who was very important to Vermeer. Pearls back then were very expensive and represented beauty and purity. When she looks straight at the viewer it gives a feeling of openness and freeness. I relates to society a little because maybe it represents, that people should open up to people so we can comprise more and love one another better by relating to each other. I think Vermeer chose this subject of purity and peace because it is beautiful and calming to the viewer. The colors he used are also pure, when I see yellow I think a child who innocent and new. The beauty of the women and the clean/ pure craftsmanship of the work is worth a lot because it just has a beautiful mood. The colors perfectly fit together and the emotion on her face stands out, which is the meaning of the painting. The craftsmanship is very clean and cut with great texture of the clothing making it realistic. I think the painting gives viewers a unimaginative feel because it looks to realistic and the women is to serious for a fairy tale feel. The subject is appealing because it is peaceful to me, but no one really knows the meaning. I think this piece affects the viewer, to be more open and know the everyone is important. Pretend everyone has their own pearl earring. 3/13/2018 0 Comments March 13th, 2018I’m Making a teddy bear out of stirofoam and painting or melting it with crayons do not know yet I haft to try it. I want the teddy bear to hold a money bowl while I. His heart is ponies and fariy tales as child! The bear represents childhood and the money is adult hood.
3/13/2018 0 Comments March 13th, 2018My concept overall is don’t loose your innner child.
My first drawing is a adult holding a rainbow all made of crayons. I think crayons would a great way to express your inner child. Maybe I could do a grow up concept with is made out of crayons. My second drawing is a women’s head with a thought bubble that is childhood, filled with imagination! I thought I could this piece could be made out of clay and have a r realistic look. My 3rd drawing Is a ballon dog climbing up LEGO stairs into rainbow of life and responsibilities. I like this one because it hasn’t adult concept but is still child like! 3/8/2018 0 Comments March 08th, 2018Anonty Gormley
