4/12/2019 0 Comments April 12th, 2019Today we did print making which I really missed doing because it is so much fun the crave them out and create your own design. I decided to do a beach theme so I came up with this catchy quote “ the world is salty, don’t be salty.” I truly believe this quotas because it means do not follow the world. I used a turquoise color ink to stamp my print in. I really like my drawing of the salt shaker in the beach chair. Thanks to Mrs. Whitney I used the salt shaker idea. I was I insipred by spring break to doing something with the beach that hilarious. I hope we can do these more before Art 4 is over.

Sin of the World My fifth piece is describing the sin of world by which is greed, especially is money. Money was priority for the US in beginning of civilization. I know being rich and greedy sounds fantastic. But it will bring you down a road of selfishness and hatred towards others. I focused on the main subject of the world which is greed of money. I a raccoon to demonstrate the greediness of Greed, and I used the color gold to represent the overall subject. The overall concept is based on a illusion because when being really rich , you think everything is about you. Again self control ties every sin together. I painted the background with yellow and gold tempera. I used gold acrylic to give it the shininess of money and used real pennies to give it the real effect. I chose the verses I did because they have a peaceful outlook to them rather than it being chaotic like most are with money. I made the raccoon make it rain because it’s hilarious and cool. I burned the word Green into the cardboard and the wood making the greed stand out more. I need to fix the verses handwriting but I will do that Monday morning. This is one of favorite projects because of the goodness and shininess of it makes it beautiful. 4/5/2019 0 Comments April 05th, 2019I loved painting with extra today it was soo fun. I picked some funny pictures that reminded me of my childhood. For example big bird. I took the heads of other animals and switched them and made everything weird. I love weird things which really insipred because the artist loves that too. I was insipred to do weird things and the decade I was supposed to live in which was the 70’s. I used bright colors and mixed them together to give that hippy vibe. I used the airbrush heater thingy to mix them together and creative patterns. I really enjoyed this activity, I hope we get to do it again. I think I should of been born in the 70’s because I kind of a hippy and I like earthy things. And I’m getting long blonde hair!! I don’t know I just think it fits.
4/5/2019 0 Comments April 05th, 2019So far on my 5 project I have created a piece based off the sin of Greed. Greed is another word for selfishness by which we all fall into sometimes. Many of us think that the world is about us all the time in contrast it should be about helping other people. The sin of Greed can lead to a life of selfishness which can lead to a lonely life. Greed can be physical, mental or social. But overall greed should not be tolerated because “sharing is caring.” So far I used the color gold to represent greed, because the number one thing our world is selfish over is money. I used a raccoon to demonstrate a greed because they are one of the most greediest animals on earth. I have used gold acrylic paint and gold water color so far, I also got glued pennies to give the piece a 3D look. I really enjoy this piece so far can’t wait to finish it. I totally forgot to take a picture, so just image it. I have also cut out the raccoon 🦝, he’s very cute and awesome, Can’t wait to finish it. 3/29/2019 0 Comments T-sHirt?Scarf?Soooo, for my project or activity I took a very long knitted scarf and made it into a T-shirt. I double layered my scarf after cutting it. The I cut the shape of a T-shirt’s I wanted out. Finally I weaved it together to make sure it did not fly open and be uncomfortable. I really like the result of my activity by which it looks like a T-shirt.
3/28/2019 0 Comments March 28th, 2019Carlie Fuller The sin of my third piece is Gluttony which is a sin that involves zero self control. The color blue represents gluttony because it sounds heavy when you say blue because of the ue sound at the end of the word, therefore it is heavy like the weight literally of gluttony. The pig represents gluttony because a pig is s slob by which eats whenever they have the chance and lies around like a pig. Pigs are also used in a negative connotation to describe someone who is fat. I put more patterns on the background to pop the pig off the wood background. I carved the pig out including the arms, tail etc. I am really happy with this piece because it truly does portray Gluttony thoroughly rh background and the pig overall. The verses I chose are very strong and hard headed because I think that when suffering from the gluttony your are majority hard headed and sticking to your gut that you want this or I want to eat that. I enjoyed doing this piece can’t wait for the next one! 3/19/2019 0 Comments MArch 20 update The 4th sin is Sloth by which is laziness. Sloth is represented in my piece by grayish purple and the animal sloth. The purple color is perfect for sloth because it is a droopy color that is lazy. Sloth is a sin that can lead an endless road of pain and self hate. Because we are humans we take the visual of ourselves very seriously, because we all think it defines who we are. Our identity is in our heart. Self hate could lead to many negative things in your life because if you hate yourself then you can’t love anyone else. Yes, many of us have insecurities but we should fix them an stand for what is right and fight against those insecurities instead of being slothish and let ourselves crumble in our self hate. Through this project I want people to reconsider letting their insecurities bring them down and instead fight them and train yourself to not be lazy fight for self positivity. I’m very satisfied with my 4 th project so far because it makes me want to be lazy and fall asleep. And my sloth and layering or the tempera watercolor is very well done I think because of the color contrast. Can’t wait to finish it!
3/15/2019 0 Comments March 15th, 2019These past few days have been fun fun by which I enameled a square piece of copper. I cut out the copper into circles with a circle cutter and then I put glue on the back. Then I put black powder on the back and burn it to seal the deal. Then I put dents to give the piece a texture and it looks like a ocean creature. Then I put turquoise powder and a light blue colors on the edges for each making it look faded. Then I burned it. My overall goal was to create these earrings and necklace for my springs break cruise coming up. I made them look like sea shells, I can’t wait to show them off on my cruise. I want to say thank you to Mrs. K for her awesome teaching skills to help us as students to accomplish this wonderful creation.

The color blue represents gluttony because it sounds heavy when you say blue because of the ue sound at the end of the word, therefore it is heavy like the weight literally of gluttony. The pig represents gluttony because a pig is s slob by which eats when ever they have the chance and lies around like a pig. Pigs are also used in a negative connotation to describe someone who is fat. So far my background for the piece is a little plain, so I plan to put more patterns in the background to pop the pig off the the wood background. I carved the pig out and haven’t got to the arms or the tail yet but I decided to got ahead and paint the majority of the pig. I am really happy with this piece and my pig now had arms, legs, and tail. I will add the verses on Monday about gluttony and I added more circles in the background to give more texture. I can’t wait to finsh it. |
