9/30/2016 1 Comment September 30th, 2016This is my project I call it "Reality through the keyhole" I wanted to make a sculpture project the express how people feel sometimes most of the time people are insecure and feel like an outcast. I completely understand I have been through it too and I hope I made a piece that makes those people feel safe. And my point was to make the the opposite colors of the real world because that were I feel I should live. The opposite colors I used was Purple-Yellow,Orange-Blue, Red-Green, Black-white. My inspiration was when I saw people in lunch class or people left of a group striving to join in the group. I wanted make something unique and different the shapes of the bushes and the sky that looks like a stain glass I was trying to make abstract with a deep meaning behind it. What do u think of it?

9/23/2016 0 Comments Vincent Van Gogh by: Carlie fuller![]() " Iris" The one on the top is called iris, obviously it is the flower iris. This painting was painted when he lived in France. He said that this painting keep him from going insane. This painting was done the year before he died in 1890. This media was made with oil paints. He used thin strokes and with strong outlines. It also includes close ups. It makes me feel very calm/energetic. I feel calm because of the purple flowers in a beautiful meadow. I feel entergetic because the yellow is a bright color and it remind me of running through a beautiful meadow as a child. "The Starry Night" is the second one. This painting is the most know oil painting I think of his. If you notice in the picture he uses a lot of dark colors and he uses think and short brush stokes orderly. He was looking for the the cool colors such as green, pale yellow,brownish/blackish, and lots of lights and dark blues to make it fell calm and peaceful. Whenever I look at I feel really peaceful and safe. I feel this way because if u look at the picture the colors are very calming and the thick brush stokes give a strong feeling of happiness because the color is yellow. Vincent van Gogh was born on the day of March 30,1853 and he lived in Zundent Netherlands. He died at the age of 37 on July 29,1890 in Auvers-sur-oise, France. He suffered all his life with depression. And when is brother died and his name was Vincent too he put his head on his brother tombstone sadness. Also because he saw his own name on it. His childhood was okay he had a father who was a preacher and a mother Anna Cornelia Carbentus and she was a artist. She was very emotional with painting with watercolor. goghs family had always struggled finacially when he was 15 years old they don't have enough money for him to attended school nor get to work.later he got a job from his Uncle an art dealership. At this time he could speak German, English,French and his own Dutch. At age sixteen he entered the firm he remained in there for 6 years, his first firm was in The Hague. Apparently he had a poor attitude and Goupil let him go in 1876. Later he took on a job his father had when he was a child. He became a preacher for a little bit and helped people all the time he gave up almost all his clothes the unfortunate. He joins religious Area in Brussels, Belgium. He helped history or inspires people because even with depression or a sickness or even anything you can do your dream/hobbies when you want to and how you want to. He sometimes worked at a tiny school called Ramsgate. The type of media he used was Printmaking, Drawing, and , Painting and Oil pastel . He do over 860 oil pastel drawings. He style was Impressionism art history and he did self portraits, landscapes, and, still life's. In his painting he uses very detailed brushstroke a which I thought it brought out the painting or meaning or feeling he wanted. His mother was a huge inspiration to him because she was a tortured artist and he did art with her all time. This also let him express his feelings out loud rather than keeping them in. His depression was a if influence because I changes the way you think about things. At age 27 he decided he wanted to become a painter. He always thought that pictures were easier to understand that words. He always showed emotion on his paintings. Conclusion: Vincent Van Gogh is a very deep artist there isn't one painting or drawing of his that don't have meaning. He is very emotional because of his brother dying and his depression affecting his entire life and his way of painting. His mom was a big influence because she was a artist and he wanted to become one too. He had a tough childhood but took theses emotions and expressed them in paintings and helped him with his sickness. Sadly he died in 1890 cause someone shot him at 37 years old which is really sad cause he was so young. That is Vincent Van Gogh. 9/22/2016 3 Comments My world behinD the keyholeThis is a addition to my earlier post and I wanted to use opposite colors then the real world and we learned that in classroom and I wanted people to see the world that is imaginary such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory. 9/14/2016 1 Comment September 14th, 2016I choose Harley Quinn because she is always her self and we need to do that and my personality is crazy but no one sees that. And my memory was when I was 3 years old singing loud in my house and my dad told me to shh and I was never my self . So I used red colors for anger and green colors for nervous and blue to stay calm.
9/7/2016 3 Comments September 07th, 2016I put water color where I thought the memory was ruff and put salt to actually make it ruff and then put red and black. Then I put light colors such as blue and white
